Amplitude no longer offers hosted Redshift. We now offer an add-on called Query that includes an Amplitude-managed Snowflake data warehouse. Redshift ETL is still available as an add-on.
Growth/Enterprise customers who purchased Redshift ETL can query their raw data via their dedicated Amazon Redshift cluster.
With Redshift ETL, Amplitude will ETL (Extract, Transform, and Load) data from Amazon S3 to your Redshift cluster. This process requires Amplitude to have write-access and our IP addresses whitelisted in Redshift. Please reach out to your CSM for the IP addresses.
Most of the data is loaded at a delay of 3 hours, except in the case of lags which can be caused by your cluster being temporarily unavailable or just being overloaded. Amplitude will not be maintaining the health of your cluster. If you would like the ETL process be paused for maintenance, please reach out to us at http://support.amplitude.com/.
For legacy clients who purchased an Amplitude hosted Redshift cluster, you can query raw data via the SQL tab within the Amplitude Dashboard. Alternatively, you can connect directly to your Redshift cluster via a terminal or 3rd party application such as SQL Workbench.
